River Aire
River levels are rising on the River Aire due to heavy rainfall.
This afternoon, 20th October 2023, areas most at risk include Esholt including Esholt Lane, Cunliffe Lane and Chapel Lane and extending further downstream to Esholt Waste Water Treatment Works. Apperley Bridge including Apperley Road, Harrogate Road and Parkin Lane.
Rainfall is expected throughout today, and river levels are expected to remain high. Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions, and consider putting your flood plan into action. You should avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. River Aire
River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold and we expect to be able to remove this flood warning later this morning. Further showery rainfall is forecast over the next few days although this is not expected to have a significant effect on river levels. We continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff are checking the condition of defences.

River Aire
River levels remain high but are beginning to fall. as a result of Storm Franklin. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. Areas most at risk are Esholt and Apperley Bridge
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. River levels are falling, but still pose a flood risk.
We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are checking defences and closely monitoring the forecast.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.

River levels have peaked and begun to fall on the River Aire at Apperley Bridge. No further significant rainfall is forecast in the next 24 hours and we expect to be able to remove this warning later today (21/2/2022).
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast on a 24 hour basis.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.

River levels have risen as a result of persistent (heavy) rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads is possible from around 9:45 am onwards today, 20/02/2022. We expect river levels to remain high throughout today. Areas most at risk are Esholt and Apperley Bridge.
We expect river levels to rise until around 10 pm tonight, 20/02/2022.
We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast on a 24 hour basis.
